The decision to marry is only the first of many decisions that need to be made for the day when you vow yourselves to each other.

What you need to know.

Cost: The cost of a wedding at Holy Trinity is $1000.00.

This includes:

• Meetings with the priest to prepare the wedding service.
• The preparation of all the legal documents.
• The use of the church.
• The flowers in the church.
• The services of our organist.
• A full rehearsal for the wedding in the week prior to the ceremony.

A deposit of $500 secures the booking for you, although if the wedding is cancelled within three months of the set date the deposit is non-refundable.

Your Birth Certificates must be produced for the priest.

The Anglican Rite of Marriage will be used as the basis of the service.

You can choose your own readings and music and this will be discussed in the preparations.

The music used in the service must be appropriate to the importance of the occasion.

Your choice of music will be discussed and agreed to.

If either party has been previously married, the divorce papers need to be produced.

In addition, the priest is required to lodge an application to the Bishop for permission to conduct this marriage. This will be prepared after an interview with you.

You will receive information about attending a Marriage Preparation course. We strongly recommend that you take the time to participate in this valuable program.
